Beautiful cotton scrunchie+bandana sets, sewn by refugee women at a Dallas nonprofit VTC. Scrunchie-bandanas are plant-dyed and hand-blockprinted by a 3rd generation blockprinter in Pakistan.
Style tips: Scrunchie and bandana can be worn separately, making this a great versatile accessory, and a great gift for teachers and moms.
Care: Store your accessories in a pouch, sewn by VTC’s refugee sewers. Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Air dry.
A note on blockprinted fabric: Blockprinting is done by taking carved wooden pieces and making prints on fabric by hand. This tradition is thousands of years old, preserved and practiced in Sindh region of Pakistan. Some print may be smudged, or dyes (especially black or indigo) may run a little, but will stabilize after a few washes.
