What Makes Us Different?

Have you longed for a wardrobe that is filled with thoughtful pieces that tell a story?

Would you like to support Texas-made?

Would you like to support underrepresented workers?

Chic & Gold is a slow fashion brand in Dallas.

We proudly work with immigrant & refugee sewers in Dallas. We also proudly work with artisans in Pakistan.

Our accessories and clothing are gorgeously hand-embroidered or hand-blockprinted by Pakistani artisans. We work with 3-4 artisan partners in Pakistan. One is a third generation blockprinter in Sindh province. Another supports a team of 7-8 women artisans. Still another is an amazing bridal designer and is assisting us with our clothing creations.

The women behind Chic & Gold are two Texas transplants.

Munira Syeda is an immigrant from Pakistan, while Kristin Reinaker was born and bred in Ohio. Both met in 2021 before the launch of Chic & Gold and since then have been slowly and thoughtfully growing the brand.

We create small-batched products and only work with biodegradable materials.

While we don't have our own team of artisans, we work with artisan partners that care about artisan well-being and pay artisans fairly. We consistently pay bonuses to artisans in addition to paying for their work.

As we grow, our dream is work directly with more artisans, and enable them to make a living wage.

Thanks for learning about our small business. We welcome your questions. And, do take a look around. We depend on conscious folks like you to help our small business grow.
